EXPERIMENT: STEPPING on the PUFF ADDER! Will It Bite?

Reptile expert LB presents the deadliest snake in all of Africa: the highly venomous Puff Adder!! This snake unfortunately bites and kills more people on the African continent than any other snake! But why is that? Is it because people can’t easily see the camouflaged Puff Adder laying on the ground - not moving - and then they step on it and the Puff Adder bites? Makes sense right? But let yourself be surprised... LB makes the test and simulates stepping close to the snake and onto it multiple times. The Puff Adder never once performed a strike or bite. When stepping onto the Puff Adder we usually don’t hurt it! Why? Because their bodies are designed to eat prey up to 10x the size of their own head. So their body with ribs, vertebrae and organs is extremely flexible and when stepping on it therefore no ribs are broken or organs squashed. How come then this snake bites and kills more people that any other? It is because people assume the Puff Adder is a fat, lazy snake that can’t move fast and then they pick it up, try to neck it behind the head or pour hot water onto it - that is when the snake will defend itself to it’s maximum by biting. And the Puffy is not a fat or lazy snake; it’s all muscle and in fact the fastest striking snake on the planet! Once within stike range it is impossible to avaid a bite. So leave snakes alone and they will always leave you alone. It’s simple.
