Why are Igbos hated is one of the most recurrent questions that are asked in the political and social discussion of Nigeria. This 25-minute-long documentary exposes the origins and reasons for the hate for the Igbo people, making a clear case for understanding the dangerous Igbo phobia in Nigeria, starting from the 1800s, through amalgamation, the Biafran war, and then finally to our present date. To fully narrate to you why Igbos are hated in Nigeria, we started with the defining Igbo Phobia, which is mainly the distrust of the Igbos. And then pointing out its roots from our encounter with the Europeans, the British in particular, and then our coming together with the Hausa-Fulani in the North, the Yoruba in the West, and other ethnic nationalities that would later make up the new nation called Nigeria. The hate for the Igbo people of Nigeria is often denied by many Nigerians, in an attempt to blame the Igbo for their woes and to promote the mantra which erroneously insists that Igbos are the problem of Nigeria. These are the tactics used by Nigerians to deflect questions such as; why Yoruba hate Igbo, and why Hausa hate Igbo. These questions are asked by millions of Nigerians because they see the evidence of the hate for Igbo people, and are curious to know why Igbos are hated. To offer insight into the many questions concerning Igbo phobia in Nigeria, we have prepared this video documentary as evidence that contributed to the general discussion of the Igbo problem in Nigeria. It’s important to note that this documentary is not intended to promote more social discord among Nigerians, but is a piece of historical and modern evidence to prove that indeed Ndi Igbo are hated in Nigeria. It is meant to be studied, and from its study, Nigerians should seek solutions to resolving the hate for the Igbo people. It is also not to drive young Igbo people to hate other ethnic nationalities in Nigeria, but instead to help them understand the root of the reason why Igbos are hated in Nigeria, and how best to swim through the thick mud, called Nigeria. It is also extra important for you to know that the hate for the Igbo people is the foundational reason for the agitation for Biafra. This agitation for Biafra is hinged on the fact that the Igbo are marginalized politically, socially, economically, infra-structurally, and otherwise. To deny this marginalization is to deny the existence of Nigeria itself. 💎 If you love our programs, consider supporting the channel via Paystack: https://paystack.com/pay/voiceofthesun #Biafra #Igbo #Nigeria #Igbos
