“Ānanda, there are four places that a faithful person should visit and look upon with feelings of reverence. What are the four? ‘Here the Tathāgata was born’ — this is a place a faithful person should visit and look upon with feelings of reverence. ‘Here the Tathāgata attained supreme enlightenment’ — this is a place a faithful person should visit and look upon with feelings of reverence. ‘Here the Tathāgata set rolling the Wheel of Dhamma’ — this is a place a faithful person should visit and look upon with feelings of reverence. ‘Here the Tathāgata attained Parinibbāna without remainder’ — this is a place a faithful person should visit and look upon with feelings of reverence.
