In Part 1, I presented an overview of the MH-C9000 and its capabilities. Part 1 link: • Maha Energy Powerex MH-C9000 Charger-Analyzer In Part 2, I showed how to use the analyzer to test troublesome cells. Part 2 link: • Identifying Faulty Cells with the Maha Ene... In this video, I will show an adapter I built to allow me to use C and D cells with this analyzer. Even though I recorded these videos almost five years ago, they are still applicable today and I'm still using the MH-C9000 on a regular basis. The downside to using this adapter is that if the charger relied on temperature sensing to determine full charge, this adapter wouldn't allow the temperature sensor to function properly. However, the literature claims this is a delta-V charger which senses full charge based on voltage, not temperature. This is explained in part 1. It may have a temperature sensor as a backup, but in practice, it always stops charging at what appears to be the right capacity, so the delta-V mechanism must be functioning properly. Not having the temperature sensor doesn't seem to affect how cells are charged when using this adapter. *A note about advertisements in my videos* I do not monetize my videos. That means that I do NOT place advertisements before, during, or after my videos. However, a recent change by YouTube allows YouTube to place advertisements with my videos. I do not support this change but don't have a way to opt out. I don't want ads before, during, or after my videos, but am powerless to stop it short of leaving YouTube.
