Our First Via Ferrata Adventure! 🧗‍♀️ Climbing Park Balteo, Donnas, Italy We finally did it! Anna and I (Arek) tackled our very first via ferrata together at the beautiful Climbing Park Balteo in Donnas, Italy. We started with the kids' route to ease ourselves in - perfect for beginners dealing with a bit of vertigo (guilty! 😅). What we learned: Renting equipment is totally worth it! We paid €55 for a full day's rental (2 sets of via ferrata gear, helmets, and harnesses). The route took us about 2 hours to complete Don't look down - just keep moving forward! The hardest part? Unclipping to move the carabiners while holding on with one hand The last section was the real challenge - but SO worth it! Getting there: Park at the main parking lot (link below), then it's about a 600-meter uphill walk to the start point. The trail is well-marked with yellow signs and arrows. Renting proper gear locally was definitely the right choice! This was an amazing experience and we're so proud we conquered it together.
