Repost from @2aorg • Rob Pincus talks with Stephen Gutowski about the latest (leaked) indication that BATFE aims to restrict the sale of gun parts and gun making kits. Apparently, BATFE wants to move the bar dramatically to require gun kits and major components to be treated as Firearms, be serialized and be tracks & sold in the same way as completed firearms. As usual, the ATF wants to be as broad and vague as possible in their rule making, so that as much as possible to could placed under these new rules and regulated when and if they choose.
