Since 2001, The Melaleuca Foundation has served as the charitable arm of Melaleuca The Wellness Company, and our work is all about doing good where good is needed. Learn about how the Melaleuca Foundation is enhancing lives at https://www.melaleuca.org/. The Melaleuca Foundation began in 2001, raising $800,000 to help forgotten families affected by 9/11. It later raised $1 million in relief aid following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Today, the Melaleuca Foundation alleviates suffering during times of natural disaster and catastrophe while also supporting numerous causes and nonprofit organizations. The Melaleuca Foundation's signature cause is the Santa Lucia Children’s Home, a special orphanage in Latin America. It began supporting Santa Lucia in 2007 and has been its sole financial supporter ever since. The Santa Lucia Children’s Home is a special place unlike any orphanage in the world. There, you'll find no vast dormitories with rows and rows of beds. Instead, children are placed in separate family groups, where older children can mentor the younger ones. They have their own living spaces where "house mothers" watch over each family group. Living together as brothers and sisters, the children build close relationships and feel loved, needed, and valued. The children are provided with everything they need from food and clothing to school supplies, toys and medical care. Santa Lucia has been successful in nursing many children back to health, facilitating numerous adoptions, and enhancing the lives of thousands of children. In addition, the Melaleuca Foundation supports many worthy causes such as feeding the hungry; honoring veterans, soldiers and first responders; improving education; running to the rescue in times of disaster; and providing a variety of other types of humanitarian aid. Over the last few months, a few of the causes that The Melaleuca Foundation has supported include: • Made substantial contributions to buy two emergency response vehicles for the American Red Cross, bringing supplies to families suffering at the frontline of natural disasters, wherever that may be across the country. • Donated thousands of Ecosense products to residents of British Columbia, Canada, who were reeling from catastrophic floods. • Fed those staying in temporary shelters after tornadoes and severe storms destroyed communities throughout six states in the Midwest. • Paid off the mortgage of nonprofit’s food storage warehouse, allowing them to reallocate their $3,000 monthly mortgage payment to buy more food each month and help more families in need. • Donated Melaleuca products and lifesaving ER supplies to hospitals in the Ukraine to help wounded soldiers. • Bought more than 50,000 meals for individuals in need. • Continued to invest in top medical research organization. Our goal is to ensure families receive the highest level of care, no matter their circumstances. This work expands the use of Artificial Intelligence, data analytics and wearable devices in health care. And it’s connecting the dots in disease research.
