ACRM Pandemic Webinar Series TUE 19 MAY // 1:00 – 2:00 PM ET Ep 16: Use of Telepractice for Speech-Language Pathology: Lessons from Europe With Guest Speaker: Suzana Jelčić Jakšić, PhD, SLP, EFS Moderator: Fofi Constantinidou, PhD, CCC-SLP, CBIS, FACRM, FASHA Center for Applied Neuroscience, University of Cyprus Nicosia, Cyprus LEARNING OBJECTIVES Participants will be able to describe research insights into evidence-based telepractice in Speech-Language Pathology, specifically in Europe Participants will be able to state at least 3 advantages and 3 limitations of telepractice in Speech-Language Pathology Participants will be able to compare telepractice and face-to-face assessment and intervention in Speech-Language Pathology About Suzana Jelčić Jakšić Dr Suzana Jelčić Jaksic graduated from the University of Zagreb in 1986 and completed her MSc and her PhD at the same university. A recognized European Fluency Specialist, she currently works at the Children’s Hospital in Zagreb, diagnosing and treating children and adolescents with speech and language disorders, focusing on fluency disorders. She also teaches on postgraduate courses at Medical School and supervises students on clinical practice in fluency disorders at the University of Zagreb. She also lectures at the University of Mostar. She has published numerous professional and scientific papers and is co-author of several books and manuals. Since 2010, she has organized the triennial Croatia Stuttering Symposium, in collaboration with the Australian Stuttering Research Centre at the University of Technology in Sydney. As a person who herself stutters, Dr Jelčić Jaksic founded the Croatian Association for People who Stutter and has been its chair on several occasions. Go to https://acrm.org/resources/coronaviru...
