How To: Clean and Seal a RUSTY Gas Tank 2024 (BEST WAY)

1973 Suzuki GT550 Indy Three Cylinder Two Stroke Fuel Tank Restoration. This bike has been sitting for about 10 years so it definitely has some problems. To start, the gas tank is rusted up like the titanic and it has subsequently leeched its problems into the carburetors which I cleaned in the last video. In this video, I took care of the rusty gas tank by first cleaning it using two different products, welded up the holes, JB Welded over the real welds, sealed the inside of the tank using KBS Fuel tank sealer and then gave it a fresh paint job. After all that was done I got the tank back on the bike with a new petcock, fuel line and filter. Now, the bike is ready to run (hopefully). Stay tuned for the next video to see me try and start this bike up! Remember, you should only seal your gas tank if it leaks. If it doesn't leak after removing the rust then fill it back up with gas and move on.
