Today I'm going to share with you something that I just did for a client of mine. So many people I know get in the right food for breakfast, have a healthy morning snack, a pretty healthy lunch, but then they grab an afternoon snack from the vending machine, they get home a little bit late from work, or they’re in a rush and didn’t have time to get to the grocery store and they end up going for leftover pizza or ordering pizza or eating leftover Chinese or ordering Chinese or eating some yucky highly processed, loaded with chemicals frozen meal. Sound familiar? Let’s break the cycle and give you a few MAKESHIFT MEALS to throw together on these evenings! What I'm going to show you today does NOT involve real cooking. These are not real recipes or gourmet meals so if that’s what you want, press stop now and click on another video :) Here are some practical ways to get in food fast that isn’t fast food. 1) Go vegetarian a couple times a week! Keep a few cans of beans around, heat them up, add spices and herbs you like, then throw them on top of some bagged lettuce. 2) Eggs aren’t just for breakfast! Scramble up a couple, throw in whatever veggies you have around OR grab some frozen veggies from your freezer, and you have a meal! 3) Think in bulk. Cook a few servings of quinoa and use it as the base of your meal for lunches or dinners. Remember that bagged lettuce? Throw some quinoa in the mix! Those sauteed veggies you used with your eggs? Use them with quinoa, too! Those leftover beans from the other night? Throw them on top! Every meal doesn’t NEED to be gourmet, and it’s not difficult to create a meal in less than 5 minutes with minimal to no cooking, with minimal to no raw foods in your kitchen. Use your freezer and your pantry for things other than ice cream and cereal peops! You can do it, and stay on your healthy track EVERY night! You’re sick of takeout anyway, right?
