This is a play-through of 1P Battle mode using Zhuge Liang in the PS1 game Dynasty Warriors / Sangoku Musou. Read on below for more information... Zhuge Liang / Shokatsu Ryo is a sub-boss in the game. He is an unlockable playable character. ===== ABOUT ZHUGE LIANG ===== Based on the real-life historical character of the same name, he is a politician, military strategist, writer, inventor, engineer and a wise adviser who served Liu Bei. His nickname is the "Sleeping Dragon", and his physical appearance is often depicted with him in a Taoist robe, holding a hand fan made of feathers. In Dynasty Warriors, Zhuge Liang plays the role of being Liu Bei's master strategist and is considered a genius in all three kingdoms. Gameplay-wise, this guy is not made for aggressive fighting... I think he works best as a strike-and-keep-distance character. With his weapon being a fan, it means that his range is short, and damage infliction is somewhat low as well. He does have some rather unique "magic" type moves (a trait which none of the other characters have) which includes a high and low beam, a self-circling fan and telekinesis throws. ===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ===== ---- His Stage 8 boss is Zhou Yu and his Stage 9 boss is Lu Bu. ---- He does not seem to have a Musou extension. ===== ABOUT PS1 DYNASTY WARRIORS ===== This is basically the very first game of the Dynasty Warriors / Shin Sangoku Musou franchise, and is the only one in the series being a traditional weapons-based one-on-one versus fighting game. It is inspired by the historical novel, Romance of the Three Kingdoms. If I were to loosely describe the general gameplay, I would call it "Virtua Fighter with weapons". The movement and flow of striking is somewhat "rigid" and "stiff", so if you're used to Soul Edge/Calibur and the later Tekkens, you will most likely find this a bit "restricting" if you know what I mean. Overall it's a pretty good game that is nicely rounded off with many modes of play, FMV CGI sequences and a good soundtrack. Know the roots, Dynasty Warriors fans!
