Back in 2018, I found myself at an FBO. How did I get there? That's not important. What is important is who I met next. Two pilots. And we had something in common. We were creatives in our spare time. I told them I liked filmmaking. They told me they liked games. They told me about this pictionary-for-adults type of game they created. . About a month later, ten copies of their game showed up on my doorstep. I asked a friend to gather a few more friends and maybe a few more. We played several rounds of actual game play. And I did my filmmaker thing. I told them, "Just play the game and I'll film it like a documentary." And we were done in about an hour. . If I were to do this again, I would have spent more time on lighting. My knowledge about lighting is still very limited today. But back then, my only goal was to make sure we could see everyone's face. Yes, I only had a few lights. But I could have done a lot more with what I had. I should have turned off all the house lights and spent more time separating the action from the background. But this is what I was able to make with the equipment and the knowledge I had at the time. . My friends and their friends really helped a lot and I will be eternally grateful. The pilots and their people enjoyed the video. We found different music and tried to force more of a sales-and-marketing-esque tone for the final official ad, which they ran and claimed to see a boost in sales.
