Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary or Sajjangarh biological park in Udaipur is one of the best places to experience and witness a variety of flora and fauna living harmoniously in the human-made habitat. This is located in the foothills of the Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh Palace). Best time to visit Sajjangarh fort is during Sunrise or Sunset. From here you can see magnificent view of Udaipur city including palace, lake palace, Fatehsagar and Pichhola lakes. There is a Zoo Hospital for taking care of the ill animals. The Biological park at Udaipur prohibits the usage of plastic covers and plastic bags inside the zoo. There is a Nutrition Center at the zoo which serves to the feed requirements of wild animals of the zoo. There is a full-time experienced veterinarian and a trained compounder to take of the animals. Also, CCTV cameras are installed in the zoo for 24 hours surveillance. During rainy season July to October, the area becomes lush green and more aesthetic. The area receives an annual average rainfall of 650 mm. Within two months of its inauguration, the park received more than 46,000 visitors in a month, generating a revenue of Rs 14 lakh for the forest department, which is a record in itself.
