⚠⚠For more info read notes below⚠⚠ 0:00 - 6:29 --- HOW IT WORKS 6:30 - 7:52 --- THE BUG (0% tracking only) 7:53 - 8:45 --- SYNC MOD Someone asked me, so here it is: my first tutorial! Hope this can help you. Like and subscribe if you think it's useful!!! This is basically how I realize cinematic cameras for my series. Don't look at the graphic adjustments of CSP I'm using (black cars)... They're messed up cause I was doing some experiments for night mode and I forgot to fix them ^^ #assettocorsa #camtool2 #tutorial SOUNDTRACKS 1) Nittoku Inoue - Runabout (Gran Turismo 5 ost) 2) Nittoku Inoue - Burn Out (Gran Turismo 6 ost) NOTES: THE BUG (0% tracking only) It happens cause CamTool (when parameters and app aren't activated) divide the 360° ambient in 2 sections, one from 0° to 180° and another from -180° to 0°: GREY VALUES (INACTIVE) 0°, 1°, ... 177°, 178°, 179°, 180°, -179°, -178°, -177°, .... -1°, 0° So, in some cases, the Heading value switch from a positive value to a negative one. This limitation isn't applied when the Heading value is activated (red), so if you start from a (red) heading value of -170 you can go beyond -180 when you try to fix it manually through its arrow buttons (or if you start from 179 you can go beyond 180: 181, 182...). RED VALUES (ACTIVE) -177, -178, -179, -180, -181, -182, ... 177, 178, 179, 180, 181, 182, ... This isn't true for grey values: trying to fix them when they aren't active, values will switch from 179 to -179 as the first example, generating THE BUG. Remember that this happens ONLY WHEN TRACKING is set 0%. If camera is locked on a car (tracking 100%), THE BUG doesn't happen. THE BUG happens only when u go beyond 179°, it doesn't happen if you start, for example, from -30° to end at +15° or vice versa: no bugs if you pass through 0° value. Are u moving through 180 degrees value? Value changes from positive to negative or vice versa? THE BUG. Are u moving through 0 degrees value? NO BUG. I recommend you to avoid 180 degrees movements passing through the 180° heading value, to completely avoid THE BUG. If you've completed a complex set of steps and you notice it late, the only way is to try to fix every camera step manually but, as shown in the tutorial, is a huuge pain in the ass cause you can't write the value you need, you can only use arrow buttons... There are another little things you can do to waste less time when you try to fix this manually, but I'm sure you'll understand that by yourself messing around with camtool through time (there are some elements to make u understand it, just reading these info here). SLOWMO RECS You can edit amazing tricks if you rec not only the 100% speed scene, but also a slowmo 6x/8x speed ver (using AC replay tool). If u work with a slowmo ver of the video part, you can always speed it up by +600%/+800% while editing to have the original speed again. This allows you to place slowmo parts in a scene with standard speed using 1 video file only, just like I did in my fan made series (for the audio part, as I wrote in tutorial, you still need the 100% speed version of the scene, to match with the video part. Unless you're using different files for the audio, like ID engine sounds or something else). Also, remember that some AC effects are different when you activate slowmo (smoke effects increase, for example), also first movements of camera with CamTool are way smoother in this mode, cause it has much more time to move from a standing position (1st) to the 2nd step you set.
