Samsung has a heater kit for this now. several people have posted a link in the comments and this is a much better fix. 10-15-21 I noticed the link doesn't go anywhere now and also seen where some are claiming the freezing up problem is due to sensors and the drain clip that keeps it from freezing up, link here:    • Fix Samsung Fridge Ice Build up With Heat ...   IDK if that will fix it or not but he does show you how to take the Styrofoam cover off the coil which I did not. He also says wait couple hours to let ice thaw out before you attempt and it will take more like all night and all day with the door open if it's froze up hard which it usually is when the fan starts hitting the ice and the noise it what gets you to see what is going on. Just trying to keep it updated with latest fixes but safe to say it looks like there is multiple issues with this freezing problem and one person did comment, why not just unplug it overnight. Gotta say, it's not a bad idea if you got some coolers and ice for perishables but using it for a drink frig is what we did and just leave everything in it out in the garage and shut if off overnight with doors open when it makes noise. Any who, it was so nice for samsuck to bring us all together over their horrendous engineering. Bad enough you have to fix a brand new frig but they also engineered it to be a nightmare to work on. I bought an LG with linear compressor and no problems, very happy. Samsung is dead to me
