Striped Bass surfcasting, striped bass fishing at its finest. Join me on my San Francisco Bay area spring fishing adventure. Striped bass are migrating back into the ocean from their early spring spawning run, up the Sacramento River and Delta areas. Now in the Pacific Ocean, the striped bass are feeding voraciously, with small baitfish such as anchovies, sardines and near shore the sand crabs being significant as they recover, bulk up again post spawn.    / @mavhntr   __________________________________________________________________________________ ABOUT: With the late April to mid-May kayak fishing halibut in South San Francisco Bay on the downlow, I switch my main focus to striped bass fishing in the surf, along the Pacifica California coastal areas & beaches. 2025 kayak fishing for halibut in South San Francisco Bay just didn't go well this spring. In 4 trips out, i boated 5 shorts and no legal halibut.
