Artefacts that are part of the municipal archaeological collections originate from approximately 200 archaeological sites on municipal property. They include several hundred thousands objects, more than 8,000 of which make up the reference collection. They have been unearthed from sites dating back to the prehistoric or historic periods (4000 AD to today), aboriginal occupation, French and British regimes, as well as industrial period. The treasures originate from prehistoric stone quarries, farm, military, commercial or industrial sites, as well as domestic sites. Produced in 2011, this short film is a unique opportunity to discover the city's archaeological collections.
