A Closer Look At The Tissot PR516 Automatic Chronograph

Today, we’re checking out the Tissot PR516 Automatic Chronograph. The first Tissot PR 516 was introduced in 1965, and a chronograph version followed three years later. Last year, Tissot introduced four version of the chronograph models including three quartz references and one with a hand-wound chronograph movement. In November the brand followed up with four automatic three-handers. And now, those of you who wanted more will be happy to see a new version featuring a Valjoux-based automatic chronograph movement and a new colorway. This three-register chronograph now comes with a crisp white and blue dial. It’s a stark contrast to the black-dialed 2024 model which echoed the original’s blue and orange accents. At 41mm in diameter and 14mm thick it wears well on the five-link steel bracelet. Priced at €1,975 it provides some serious competition to other models in the price bracket.
