This week, Cal OES welcomes you to learn more about Matthew Brown, an Associate Governmental Program Analyst in the Infrastructure Protection Grants Unit. His duties include helping eligible nonprofit organizations learn how to utilize the California State Nonprofit Security Grant Program, which help fund organizations to improve their overall security from hate crimes and violent attacks. "I have witnessed the expansion of the program each year since its implementation," said Brown. "I couldn't be prouder of the difference we have made for communities statewide." He is passionate about helping communities, conducting outreach and education with various nonprofits like health organizations, legal aid, religious organizations and more.
