Welcome to Fishing Allure. Tonight’s fishing session brought its own challenges—calm seas, clear waters, and elusive sea bass. When conditions are like this at night, it’s not just about casting and waiting; it’s about adapting and trying different techniques to increase our chances of success. I managed to land two sea bass: one small, and one at a good 57 centimeters, both of which I released back into the water. But it took some effort. I had to ‘hunt’ for them, casting one rod far out and the other closer in, experimenting to find where they might be feeding. When faced with conditions like these, small adjustments can make a huge difference. Playing with snood lengths and diameters, reducing hook sizes, and casting at different ranges can help locate fish that may be harder to find. Even the reel line diameter matters—it’s crucial for reaching long distances in conditions like these. And when you finally hook a fish, you need to work with the drag on your reel and let the rod absorb the tension to bring it in smoothly. Fishing on a calm, clear night like this isn’t always straightforward. But with the right approach and patience, you can still have a rewarding session, even if it means releasing a few fish along the way. Hopefully, this gives you some insights for your own nighttime fishing adventures. Thanks for watching. Please comment, like, and subscribe for more content from Fishing Allure. Until next time, tight lines! #fishingallure #shorefishinguk #surfcasting
