There is a lot of energy around prescribing estriol (often as Bi-est, which is usually an 80:20 estriol to estradiol compounded product) for women in menopause. I think there are some really interesting applications for estriol, primarily in situations where it could be beneficial to downregulate a woman's immune system. But for standard Hormone Replacement Therapy, I always default to estradiol.
