Anne Lew, my beautiful and talented mother, held a self-funded charity concert in 2016 to fulfil her lifelong dream of owning the stage like a professional singer. The concert was held at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Anne won first prize in the 1969 Sing Tao Newspaper Singing Contest 星島日晚報業餘歌唱比賽, which subsequently led to an opportunity to sign professionally. Instead, she devoted herself fully to raising 3 children, who, now all grown up, fervently encouraged her to rekindle this passion; to recreate her dream of sharing her love of music. Through the process, she was encouraged and guided by her amazing, long-time friend, Grammy Award nominee Howard McCrary and gathered a collection of top musicians to hold this concert by combining both causes of helping people in need and making music for your pleasure.
