Preston finally picks up his 1968 GMC patina truck after a long build process — and this thing is ready to cruise. Full owner handoff walkthrough, first drive together, and a look at all the details that went into making this a one-of-one daily driver. Preston came to us with a simple idea: build a truck he and his wife can actually drive. Road trips to the beach, weekend getaways, something fun that isn't sitting in a garage. No supercharger, no turbos — just a clean LT1 crate motor making 465 HP with a focus on keeping it serviceable and easy to maintain. He didn't want a Lamborghini. He wanted something nobody else would ever have, and that's exactly what this is. We walk through everything with him — the custom bed storage with Patagonia duffel bags we threw in for road trips, the sunken spare tire, the Camaro bucket seats, Dakota Digital gauges, and the removable console panels the team designed so you can actually access the electrical without tearing anything apart. Even small details like the 3D-printed kick panel guards to protect the leather from boots. Jason walks Preston through all of it before handing over the keys. The truck's name is Zoe — his wife's middle name. They almost called it Rough and Rowdy, but Zoe won out. We think they made the right call. If you haven't seen the full build walkthrough and 1,000-mile shakedown, go check that out first. And if you're thinking about building something like this, hit us up. What would you build if it wasn't about the badge? Leave a comment.
