And he won’t say where he’s come from But it’s a long way down the track, And it’s Hell he’s on the run from – Sack of demons on his back. And he needs a place he can rest his head But there’s no room at the inn, And it’s many miles back to a mainland bed And the tide is coming in … Man on a causeway … Two souls seeking adventure Rocky land twixt Heaven and Hell, An eerie twilight casts its censure So they make camp on the hill. And there are jokes around the campfire – Sparks of comfort in the night, When a ghost comes out of the darkness Like a moth drawn to the light.
