Check out the Black Diamond ReMOJI on Amazon 💡 https://amzn.to/3iU5JWf Welcome to the Urban Survivor channel and in this video we’re going to be taking a quick look at the Black Diamond Remoji which is a rechargeable lantern with variable brightness control that is capable of producing white and multicolor lights and it’s small enough to take with you backpacking, camping and its useful for everyday and emergency situations as well. I picked this lantern after hours of research and after looking at a few dozen I’m really excited to show this one off so before we dive in make sure you hit the like button and subscribe to the Urban survivor channel for more videos like this one. Allright so here we have the Black Diamond Remoji which is IPx4 rated and it weighs just 78 grams or 2.73 ounces and on top it has two small metal collapsible loops for hanging and it also has 4 small magnets which you can use to mount this to a magnetic surface or you can just turn it upside down and it can rest with the diffuser pointing upwards. On the side there’s a small plastic cover which houses a micro usb charging import and on the other side there’s a button which you can use to turn the lantern on and off and cycle through the different modes. It has a frosted globe style diffuser which helps to provide a nice ambient light. The ReMoji has a built iin battery which you can charge by pulling back the cover and plugging it into a micro usb power source and as you can see theres a small indicator that will let you know it’s charging and it takes about 3 hours to fully charge. To turn the lantern on you just need to tap the button and if you hold it you can cycle through the different modes. On the white mode if you hold the button down you can access variable dimming so you can choose the perfect output setting. It has a maximum output of 100 lumens on high with a 10 hour runtime and a minimum output of 4 lumens with a max runtime of 100 hours and this is a comparison of the output on those two different modes. Show comparison If you double click the button you can activate a mode that allows you to change the color of the light and once its on a color you can double click to cycle through different colors and when you find one you like you can push the button once more and it will stay set to that color. Show color light The color mode is also dimmable and finally if you push the button 3 times you can activate a strobe. This is the Remoji inside of a small 3 person tent and as you can see it’s plenty bright to light up this small space. Here’s a shot of the ReMoji indoors so you can get an idea of how it can be used inside of a room in case you need to use it if the power goes down and considering it’s size it does a great job of lighting up the space. Here it is over a map and so you can get an idea of what it would be like to read something under this lantern. This is a comparison shot on the maximum output mode between the Black Diamond ReMOJI and the Goal Zero Crush light and as you can see the Black Diamond is much brighter than the Goal Zero and the color temperature is also cooler on the Black Diamond. Comparison shot Overall I think that the Black Diamond Remoji is an excellent lantern that’s light enough to carry in a backpack and it’s certainly powerful enough to be used inside of a tent or a small room but it can also provide some decent illumination in a small outdoor space as well. The runtime is really great and I like the fact that it’s dimmable and having the ability to pick a color is a fun feature as well.
