設定では1000mほどもある銀河帝国軍総旗艦ブリュンヒルトですが、模型になると12cmほどの小さなキットになります。この小さな船体にどう電飾を埋め込むかが今回の政策のメインテーｍ... もちろん美しく作りますよ！ というわけで、電飾工作の仕上げと塗装前の下地についてのパートです。 動画の補足： プラスチックは透明に近い色の原料を着色している関係で、どうしても光を透過しやすい傾向があります。 カーモデルのボディーパーツのように、厚みの薄いパーツを室内灯にかざすと透けて見えることがあり、これが重厚感を損なう要因となることもあります。 今回のキットは成形色が白くて薄いため、この対策が必要だと考え、裏側に黒とシルバーを塗装してサーフェイサーを吹きつけたというわけです。 といっても、肉眼で見て何となく感じる程度の違いですが^^; 内側に黒を吹くだけでも表面の感じがかなり変わるので、気になる方は是非お試しくださいね。 ちなみにシルバー系の塗料は金属粒子が入っていますので、均一に吹き付けることでかなりの隠蔽効果が期待できます。 また、プラの着色に染料が使われている場合、染料が塗装面に染み出してしまうことがあります。これを防ぐために金属粒子で染み出しを堰き止めてしまう手法があり、これは「銀止め」と呼ばれています。 最近はこの方法を使っているモデラーさんを見なくなったような気がしますが、塗料の進化によって廃れてゆく手法なのかもしれません。 In the setting, the Galactic Empire's general flagship Brünhild is about 1000m, but when it is a model, it will be a small kit of about 12cm.
