Rocketts Landing is an urbanist neighborhood is southeastern Richmond, Virginia. It borders Henrico County, Virginia and the north bank of the James River. The area was names after Baldwin Rockett, an 18th century ship's captain born in 1861 in Exeter, Devonshire, England. Originally a factor neighborhood, the area has been converted into mixed-use development with brick streets where you can experience rich history, the outdoors, nightlife and arts and entertainment. At Rocketts Landing you can leisurely walk or ride a bike along the river on the Capital Trail, watch as people set out in their canoes and boats and even have lunch or dinner with a fantastic river view. The transit system in the area also offers transportation to other areas of Richmond, so you can see all that the city has to offer.
