Globally, 1 in 6 people live with a disability — yet they remain disproportionately excluded from financial systems due to limited access, discrimination, and inaccessible banking infrastructure. In Pakistan, only 21% of adults and 13% of women have bank accounts — and the gap for persons with disabilities is even wider. At the Financial Inclusion Week 2025, organized by the Center For Financial Inclusion (@TheCFIchannel) at Accion, the session “Disability Innovation for Financial Resilience in Pakistan” brought together leaders driving change across technology, banking, and inclusion. Moderator: Pollyanna Wardrop, Senior Researcher – @GlobalDisabilityInnovationHub Speakers: Omair Ahmad, CEO – NOWPDP Arhum Ishtiaq, CTO & Co-Founder – @ConnectHear Together, they explored how innovation and cross-sector collaboration can build inclusive financial systems where persons with disabilities, especially women, can thrive as empowered economic agents. NOWPDP remains committed to advancing accessibility, equity, and opportunity — ensuring that inclusion is not an afterthought, but the foundation of financial resilience. #NOWPDP #FinancialInclusion #DisabilityInclusion #InclusiveFinance #InnovationForAll #Accessibility #Pakistan #FinancialInclusionWeek #CFI #Accion #ConnectHear #GlobalDisabilityInnovationHub
