Parrot Separation Anxiety

Sir William is extremely attached to me, and by extremely, I mean he cannot stand to be away from me at all. He hates it when I am in another room of the house without him. Sometimes, I have a hard time making him get off of me so I can go to work. This video somewhat shows how he acts when he's not on me, but it can be MUCH worse. If I'm in his line of sight, he will just run back and forth on the cage and yell for me to come pick him up. But if I'm not in the room, he will slam his beak into the cage and it leaves marks and gashes :( This is nothing new, it has been going on for the past 17 years!! I've tried to break him of this problem, but he just won't have it.
