Faith: An Introduction from director Erica Whyman

How do we understand and celebrate the chapters and mysteries of our lives? What keeps us going in tough times and where do we find hope? Taking place on Saturday 11 September, Faith is a 24-hour invitation to explore these big questions through the beliefs of people of faith, and of non-religious world views, through music, theatre, installation, and ritual. Throughout the day, a visual and theatrical tapestry will be created in locations across the city and online, finishing in an extraordinary ceremony of light that everyone can take part in. There will be four different intimate walking performances across the city, telling the stories of Coventry families and friends and their very different relationships with faith and hope, through a series of journeys with the city as the stage. If you’re not able to attend Faith in person, or just want to explore more there will be a huge array of digital content available around the event and all performances will be live streamed with BSL and captioning.
