Hello my friends, sorry but as you can see in the video i forgot to start recording before the grouper hit the jig next to the bottom. But still i can show you a fraction of the strenght and the body power that these fish have. I hope you enjoy the video and if you still did not had the oportunity to catch one of these fish i really hope you someday can. Like many fish, the fight that you see here changes according to their age and body weight. it is hard to bend a 30kg grouper or even a smaller one..but after 35kg up to 70 kg or more is were your experience and your setup must be perfect! Along the years i caught hundreds of these big groupers and even now, they still put me to the test.... When i have a friend jigging with me on my boat and i tell him what is going to happen and what he must do and how he must react, they think that im exagerating....That is, until they get the first hit and before their brain can process what is happening, they lose the fish....one second...its all it takes to lose a fish of this size. When they feel the fish shaking his head or tail, and overpowering their 10kg max drag like it is nothing... its when they realise they are in trouble....but that second they took to understand that, the fish takes charge now and most certain will mean the game is over. To be able to catch a dream fish we must aim for perfection in all aspects and nothing lower is good enough...So theres no room for mistakes or doubts.... if we have any...we need to stop..think..check all aspects of our setup and antecipate what is about to happen and stick to the plan!....yes..having a plan is important because it gives us a line of conduct and keep us focused If we learn to anticipate and expect the fish...we can control our mental and body anxiety and that gives us control over our mental process and setup in order to bring that fish up! I hope you enjoy the video and if you have any questions please leave it in the coments Take care and tight lines fellow fisherman
