1988 Bahama Gold Acura Legend LS

This is my dad's 1988 Acura Legend LS in Bahama Gold with ivory interior. He purchased the car in 1995, February with 53,540 miles and became the second owner. As of 2012, May, she has just turned the 170,000 mile mark. This first generation Legend LS is (meticulously) maintained. This Legend LS is an every day pleasure driver and is always garage kept. In the spring of 2012 a new resonator was installed to the exhaust system. While polishing and preparing the summer wheels, a bad Toyo Spectrum tire was discovered which led to a purchase of a new set of Michelin Primacy MXV4's. The Primacy is a big improvement over the Toyo Spectrum starting with a soft comfortable ride to having a (very) quite ride with a (very) minimal amount of road noise. In the summer of 2011 the transmission was rebuilt because of a faulty second gear. Her hood was resprayed shortly after because of some minor damage that was caused by the transmission tech. In the summer of 2010 all of the fuel injectors were replaced because of leakage of fuel. In 2008 she had professional body work done to both of her rear wheel quarter panel areas which involved spraying her from front to rear . First generation Legend owners know that these areas become a major concern down the road. The only sections with original paint are the trunk lid and roof. In 2008, all of the interior seats were were recovered with irovy leather. Sometime around 2002 OEM Acura black mats were added. The original ivory mats still exsist today and are in very good condition. All of the rest of the interior is all original! In 2006 the air conditioning was coverted over to R-134A and the aftermarket radio was installed. In 1999 around 77,000 miles, the Ultra Wheels with Toyo Spectrum tires were added. The original Acura wheels are used for the winter season. Repairs are made as they occur to keep her in proper running condition. Up to the present date, this 1988 Acura Legend LS has been shown nothing but respect during the 17 years of ownership..
