This channel contains memories associated with the band known as "Will Power" which existed for a brief time in the Coronado/San Diego area. This video shows some footage of a girl named Diane who dated the lead singer of Will Power (Chris Hitt) for a time. As Chris told me himself, they met while working together at Burger King in Coronado. Yes, the lead singer of Will Power worked at Burger King for a time in order to make ends meet. Chris also told me that Diane was married to a Navy man who was out serving his country overseas. But I guess Chris and Diane fell in love anyway even though she was married and even though Chris was dating another girl named Lynette at the time. Ah what a tangled web of romance the band members of Will Power weaved. I don't consider Burger King the sexiest environment to initiate romance with someone, but I guess somehow they were able to find a way. Young people with active hormones can accomplish anything. But anyway, I digress. Chris Hitt was so entralled with Diane that he chose to write a song about her named, what else, "Diane." There's a few versions of the song on this channel that you can take a listen to, should you chose to. But basically the lyrics go "Diane, Diane, you made me a man. You think I could forget you, there's no way I can. Diane, Diane, I'm your biggest fan, I want to be included in all you future plans..." ...and so on. Listen to the song yourself to hear the rest of it. Will Power was an aspiring Heavy Metal band that existed in the late 80s and early 90s. They tried to make it, but never could. Chris does appear in this video for a brief time and he is also the one filming Diane. I think it's pretty evident from the nature of their conversation at times, that something more than just a friendship was going on. This video was sold to me by Chris Hitt along with other videotapes and audiotapes back in 1989. When Diane says "The Hittman," she is referring to one of Chris' nicknames. Anyway, please enjoy this video for whatever entertainment value that you feel that it is worth. The Will Power Channel: continuing to strive to provide long lost footage and audio from this long forgotten band.
