Deputies Investigate Homicide After Man Found Fatally Shot at Village Park in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death early Friday morning at Village Park in Victorville. Just after 6:00 a.m. on May 30, 2025, deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to a “man down” call at the park, located at 15790 Eto Camino Road, just west of Village Drive. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased adult male with gunshot wounds. The case is being investigated as a homicide. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Gloria Orejel confirmed the incident, stating, “The scene is still active, and more info will be released when it’s available.” As deputies secured the area with crime scene tape, several visibly emotional individuals arrived at the scene. At least one woman, believed to be connected to the victim, collapsed onto the grass in distress and had to be helped up by deputies and investigators. She was later escorted away from the taped-off area by multiple deputies. Homicide detectives with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division responded and canvassed the park for witnesses and evidence. No suspect information has been released, and the motive behind the shooting remains under investigation. Village Park is located in a residential neighborhood near North Culver Road and Eto Camino Road. The area was temporarily closed to the public as authorities continued their investigation.
