In the second episode of the new series of This Racing Life, Tom Stanley visits north Yorkshire to visit three yards with live Cheltenham Festival contenders. While the huge operations of Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliott and Nicky Henderson are regulars in the hallowed winner's enclosure at the Festival, trainer such as Paddy Neville, Ruth Jefferson and Mark Walford will hope for fairy tale success in the spring with their stable stars at the biggest jumps fixture of them all. We visit Neville and The Real Whacker - the exciting novice who is a warm order for the Brown Advisory and still entered in the Gold Cup - and check out the wonderful facilities at the yard Neville rents from Ann Duffield. We also hear from Jefferson about potential Gold Cup aspirations for Sounds Russian while Walford talks about his star and unique character Into Overdrive, who works on his own at home but has a huge engine and may take in the Ultima at the Festival before a potential tilt at the Scottish National in April.
