Wow! Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast is really beautiful (now we understand why it is so popular)! This week we drove an hour south of Brisbane to explore around Burleigh Heads. We started with a walk around the beautiful Burleigh Head National Park where the views were spectacular! Then we popped into the Jellurgal Aboriginal and Cultural Centre to learn about the history of the local indigenous people. We had coffees with an amazing view at Burleigh Pavillion before setting off for a relaxing walk around James St with its quaint boutique shops and eateries. Burleigh has a reputation for being one of the best places to surf in Australia and is well known worldwide in surfing circles. We stood watching in awe at the skills of the surfers.
