HKPORI President and CEO Robert Chung stated that using academic language to explain the so-called degree of "politicisation," it reached a peak in 2020, and by 2023, it has returned to previous levels. He continued, the current level of "politicisation" in society is no longer high, and citizens hope for improvements in livelihood and economic aspects. "We seem to clearly see a mismatch of citizens' priorities and the government's current approach. If the government does not realise this and thinks that continuing to focus on political issues will solve livelihood problems, this chart seems to show otherwise."
