There are a lot of videos and social media posts circulating about magnet fishing for gold. I first saw this on the ‪@Askjeffwilliams‬ channel where he demonstrated how magnetic black sands can carry fine gold with them to a strong magnet. A painful fact that anyone cleaning up fine gold has faced. I recently saw a post countering that on my fellow California prospector's Instagram, ‪@MountaineerMatt‬. I decided to set the record straight on whether or not magnet fishing for gold nuggets is possible. As a tribute to gold and it's various forms, I reserved the last half of the video to displaying some of the more exotic forms of natural gold to show gold isn't always flakes, dust, and rounded river nuggets without any rock or other metals attached.
