Now, from an atmospheric perspective, this fight gets all the brownie points. The arena is cool, an actual 3D Moonjumper is awesome, the Jevil-y voice acting is great, and the music is really nice! However, I have some strong complaints about the fight itself. Firstly, it lasts WAAAY too long for MJ's limited attack variety. Even when I exploited his AI in phase 1 to constantly hit him, the fight still lasts nearly 10 minutes. That's longer than Hyper/Absolute Snatcher! His final phases in particular just drag on, to nearly the point of monotony. Secondly, while the attacks are pretty unique for a modded boss, they aren't really all fun or interesting to dodge. The string, meteor, and charge attacks all boil down to "just dive boost", with the string attack being jank as peck sometimes. The lasers are a light nightmare, as you constantly get the flashing blue laser right in your camera's face, which also obscures your view of incoming shockwaves. He also suffers from Snatcher EX syndrome, where you can only harm him from 2 out of the 5 or so attacks, meaning RNG could potentially stretch things out even more! The fight's not even all that difficult-I've DONE a hatless damageless before-but it just lasts way too long for my liking. I'm all for a slower paced fight to balance out the hyper fast mod bosses, but not when it's like this. TLDR; great fight setting wise; not so great gameplay wise. I really love Sails that are Sandy, but some of its DWs have some things that I don't like. Workshop page: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
