A short little clip comparison I did for Twitter to just illustrate the main gameplay differences between the original release of DooM 3 and the BFG Edition from 2012. The main three things to take note of in the two clips. 1. The use of the flashlight vs the shoulder mounted light 2. The amount of ammo 3. The muzzle flash illuminating the surroundings in the original is absent in the BFG Note: I am playing both on the Veteran difficulty It's little things like these that sorta add up and diminish the atmosphere, mood and gameplay that the original tried to establish, and this brief set piece is a great example of seeing how that is/
