Lent 2019 DONATIONS: https://cafod.org.uk/Give/Donate-to-C... --- Drought, floods and storms are having a devastating impact on our global family. Like Mahinur from Bangladesh. She makes a living from fishing but a drought last year killed all the fish and she’s struggling to support her disabled husband and son. Mahinur cooks and cleans in neighbours’ homes for a bit of cash but it’s never enough. There are days the family have nothing to eat. Mahinur’s experience is just one of many. The changing climate is wreaking havoc on hundreds of thousands of lives around the world. Our experts are working around the clock to help. We’ll be starting a small-scale project in Bangladesh in 2019, which will support Mahinur and others in her community. Donate to CAFOD’s Family Fast Day Appeal during Lent to provide training to help people like Mahinur. Find out more: https://cafod.org.uk/Give/Donate-to-C... Update, November 2019: We are sorry to have to share the news that since this video was made Mahinur’s son, Rabiul, has died of a fever. Our local experts will continue to help Mahinur and Khalek, and will be there to support them through this difficult time in any way they can. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers. --- CAFOD stands for the Catholic Agency For Overseas Development.
