Join me for this 50 minute yoga flow that keeps our head higher than our heart. A subtle yet fiery flow practice which builds slowly before exploring more heat generating movements, while omitting forward bending / folds. This yoga practice is ideal for those with glaucoma and ocular hypertension, if you feel dizziness when rising up from postures or whether you wish to take stretching away from your hamstrings due to injury or too much flexibility. If you are faced with any off the issues above, always consult your doctor before practicing yoga. With glaucoma and ocular hypertension it's advised that inverted yoga postures (head lower than the heart) will not be helpful to you because of the increased pressure that is added inside the eye when the head is lower than the heart. Dizziness when rising up from forward folds is unsettling, so this practice allows you to remove forward folding to ease any feelings of being dizzy. If you have issues with your hamstrings but love yoga, this practice moves in a way so we can keep practicing yoga but without any additional pressure to our hamstrings. Please take agency over your body, mind and energy, if anything in the practice doesn't feel helpful to you, do make sure you alter the movements to suit your needs.
