The design of the LED module allows the torch to be used both in and out of the water without the bulb over heating. The SL3 also utilises the 'Thermal Recovery System' (TRS) which recycles some of the otherwise wasted heat energy back into the batteries to prolong their life and also improve cold condition performance. The 3 'C' cell batteries power the SL3 for up to 32 hours with a 125 lumen output. The light beam has also been improved using Underwater Kinetics 'Compound Path Optics' (CPO) which allows the light beam to pass through reduced visibility conditions such as fog or murky water better. A rubberised head helps protect the LED module and lens whilst the high impact plastic body can withstand significant shock and pressures to ensure the integrity of the torch.
