These are my tips I've picked up over the last ten years of building wheels professionally in a shop, for a popular bike brands full bikes and for riders such as Duncan Shaw and Danny MacAskill. My current wheel are over 2 years old and I've not had a spoke come lose or the need to tru them despite the abuse I give them as a Trials rider and MTBer. I'm not saying this is how you HAVE to build wheels, it's just how I like to do them.
