Prime Minister Modi announced that the government has decided to withdraw the three contentious farm laws, urging farmers to begin a new phase. The farmers have been protesting for over a year now, ever since the government announced the three farm laws. Samyukta Kisan Morcha, the umbrella organisation of the protesting farmers, reacted on the same and said that the sacrifice of more than 675 farmers in over a year, will not go waste. They are also hoping for the Prime Minister to be aware of several key demands that are still pending.
