After having seven children, Margaret Bowman commenced her academic life. Born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, she migrated to Australia in 1959. She now has an Honours degree in Political Science from the University of Melbourne, a Masters in Art History from the University of Melbourne, a PhD from Monash in Politics and a PhD from the ANU in Art History In Australia. What she has achieved in her 100 years is an inspiration for us all. Her reflections on contemporary Australia are illuminating and she is especially passionate about helping older Australians become computer literate.
