Clean, reliable energy is helping Timor-Leste’s coffee farmers process beans faster, cut waste and trial new solar-powered equipment, while nearby households gain safer access to electricity. Through our #DFATBPP Off-Grid Renewable Energy Partnership with Engineers Without Borders, Raw Material, Mara Mresa and the Australian Government, new solar systems are now powering community wet mills in Koileki and Raimutin. Wet-mill managers have also been trained to operate and maintain the systems, helping ensure long-term community ownership. 🎬 Hear from Ameta De Costa, Raw Material Timor-Leste’s Director, and other members of the partnership team about their journey so far: • Solar-powering coffee, livelihoods and opp...
