In this eighth instalment of this webcast series, Prof. Matt Huentelmen joins Prof. Ornit Chiba-Falek (Specialty Chief Editor of Frontiers in Molecular Medicine) and Prof. Ara Khachaturian (Executive Vice President of the Campaign to Prevent Alzheimer’s Disease), to discuss ways to integrate genomic and demographic diversity through lifespan into brain research. Prof. Matt Huentelmen is a renowned neurogeneticist. He joined the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) in 2004 where he’s a Professor and Director of the Early Detection and Prevention Division and also the Scientific Director of the Center for Rare Childhood Disorders. His research interests center around the investigation of the “-omics” (genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics) of neurological traits and disease. His laboratory’s overarching goal is to leverage findings in these disciplines to better understand, diagnose, and treat human diseases of the nervous system.
