Song to go with Armor of God scripture (Eph 6) ~ guitar tutorial on “Onward Christian Soldiers” in A

This beautiful old hymn is a good song for family home worship with kids. It is a good choice to go with the Armor of God passage in Ephesians 6, and is also full of truths on church unity and the triumph of Christ. The hymn may also be useful in teaching a class about spiritual warfare. May it inspire us to fight the good fight which starts in our minds and hearts, and to do battle through prayer, truth, and a life lived in the Holy Spirit. In this tutorial we demonstrate how to play three (progressively more difficult) strumming techniques with your right hand and also cover which strings to play for chords on guitar. This traditional version of “Onward, Christian Soldiers” is in the key of A major, and is for beginner to intermediate-level players.
