Spain's new immigration law: What you need to know to get residency in 2 years | The Spanish authorities have announced that they will reduce the conditions for regularizing undocumented immigrants under the work permit. The country's immigration department has announced that this new residence permit is called 'Arraigo Sociolaboral'. 🔴Spain has another piece of good news for irregular immigrants. The Social Democrat government of Spain has announced that it will soon introduce a new residence permit for irregular immigrants living in the country. 🔴The applicant must be an undocumented or irregular immigrant living in Spain. That is, if he has previously been regularized in any other category, he will not be able to take advantage of this new rule. Proof of continuous presence or residence in Spanish territory for at least two years must be provided. 🇪🇸People who have a deportation notice to leave Spain cannot apply. An employment contract signed by an employer or a company must be presented. 🔴This contract must include a guarantee of the minimum wage in Spain, i.e. a salary equivalent to 1,134 euros. The work contract must have a minimum term of three months. In the case of part-time work or employment with multiple employers, all relevant work contracts must be submitted. In this case, all contracts must meet the working conditions of at least 20 hours a week. 🔴Which was 30 hours in the previous law. The new one has been reduced to 10 hours a week. If you have been in Spain or other countries for the past five years, you must submit a police clearance certificate from the legal authorities there. Anyone convicted or convicted of a crime will be considered ineligible to apply. 🔴This new residence permit is basically a new form of another structure that has existed in Spain since August 2022. Under that law, people who trained in sectors with a labor shortage were allowed a one-year residence permit. But in that case, the only condition was to train in a sector related to tourism, transport, agriculture and construction. According to the Ministry of Integration, Social Security and Immigration, 23,097 migrants were regularized under the previous law between August 2022 and the end of 2023. Of these, only 1,347 were successful in obtaining a job contract after completing their training. 🔴The Spanish press agency EFAE reported that the rule to regularize irregular migrants through training did not fully meet the government's expectations. The government is going to introduce a new rule called 'Arraigo Sociolaboral', replacing the previous rule. It is expected that the new law will make it much easier for migrants, as it allows for work contracts in any sector. Finding a job is quite complicated for many migrants living in Spain. According to the EU's statistics office Eurostat, 18.9 percent of those born outside the European Union (EU) are unemployed in Spain. On the other hand, the unemployment rate for those born in Spain is 11.6 percent. Facebook Page 📄 https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... Thanks for watching. Please LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE.
